Cheap 4 Camera CCTV System for Home

->>> hi kevin my name is andy. i am looking for a cctv system for my home to include both wired & wirless. i am thinking that PIR activation would be better. I have wirless home pc network and also external hard drive if that can be used? can you assist?
->> Certainly. How many indoor/outdoor cameras are you looking at?
->>> on the house i think 2 @ the front and 1 @ the rear & 1 on the detached garage? i would also like to view the cameras remotely?
->> No problem. All the cameras can be triggered by movement via the motion detection facility in the DVR. The DVR can also be attached to the Internet router from where images can be broadcasted live and accessed remotely from any where in the world.
->> Are you looking for supply only or supply and fit?
->>> a price on fitted & supply only would be good. I suppose the price is dependale on the quality of camera/lense. what would you recomend?
->> Sure. We have variety of systems. Are you looking for something on the high quality side or something that is sufficient to do the job?
->>> not sure how to answer that one. what is the difference in quality of image?
->> We have standard, advance and advance pro systems. For house we recommend advance (mid-range) if you are looking for high quality images and standard would be the budget system.
->>> could you quote me for advance then please
->> Certainly. Just the last question, how far would you need to see from the cameras especially in the dark?
->>> i am thinking of 1 mounted on the front of the house so a good 20-30 metres. the garage mounted (wireless) 1 should cover 10-15 metres (please note the garage is a double width garage so a wides angle lense would be beneficial). one mounted at the front door would only need to be close proximity capability. Finally the one at the rear of the house should be 20 metres (wide angled).
->> OK no problem. However, I would recommend going wired with all the cameras as they are much more robust and reliable. Wireless have interference issues here and there.
->> If still wanted wireless then we will have to supply you with a 5.8GHz wireless transmitter that is rather expensive.
->>> Ok lets look @ wired. the distance between house & garage is approx 10ft so would not be a major job
->> That should be fine. Can I take your name, email address and a contact number please and I shall have your quote emailed in 5 mins.
->> Thanks Andy. Just bear with me please while I email it to you.
->> Did you receive the quote?
->>> just looking at it now
->> Sure.
->>> kevin. is there any way i can see the qulity of the images that these cameras will record?
->> These cameras have 480 TVL (TV lines) which is classed as high resolution. Basically higher the TVL better the clarity gets. Standard has 420 TVL and Advance pro has 500 + TVL.
->> We don't have any images to show but the kind of guarantee that we give is, if you don't like what is installed we can take it all back.
->>> do these cameras also come in a dome version? and how would i view the images remotely?. what was your supply only price?
->> We can supply you the dome version as well if you prefer but the night vision quality on these ones are better. Supply only price would be £905.26
->>> ok. just a little concerned that the garage mounted camera would be easily spotted and easily damaged/stolen. i would also prefer minimal surface mounted cable (especially inside the house) so how would you propose to do that? i.e: if the D-A4B is located in the loft what else would you need for the system to work and be accessable remotely?
->> No problem. We can replace that camera with a less obtrusive camera. Wiring can all be done through the loft and connected to your Internet router so that you can just type in a URL and access the DVR.
->>> ok - the router is located in a downstairs office. it is a wireless router. would you need to run cable to that?
->> Yes that's right.
->>> sorry to be a pest kevin. all questions i'm afraid! would this system record from PIR activation? if so how quick does recording start after activation? could i change it to constant record looping after two weeks? can i view all for cameras at the same time & would all four cameras record at the same time?
->> No problem Andy. I am here to help. You can view all the cameras at the same time yes whilst being recorded. DVR has built in motion detection so it makes all the cameras trigger by movement. Yes the recordings can be set on either constant recording or via motion detection. Images can be downloaded on to a memory stick as well as on a DVD via the built in DVD-writer.
->>> so if someone walks past the camera is it likely that we will see him/her on the camera that is triggered or by one of the other cameras?
->> Yes the DVR starts recording instantaneously upon motion detection.
->> You can also change sensitivity levels available on the DVR.
->>> ok kevin thanks very much for your support. i will let you know in the next 24/48 hours as i have a couple of people coming back to me with quotes. if i do get any cheaper prices do you want me to come back to you?
->>> Again many thanks for your time u have been most helpful
->> Sure, no problem. Looking forward to hear from you soon.
