-->: at the mo only say 2/3 outdoor cameras and be able to add more
--->: How far do you need to see from the cameras especially in the dark?
-->: may be 10 to 15 mts max
--->: OK and are you looking at something with high quality or something that basically does the job?
-->: have been advised to go for higher quality so price for those?
--->: http://www.ukcctv.co.uk/2-Camera--Wired-Outdoor-Recording-Advance-System-cctv-security-systems-digital-home-commercial-uk-PKG-0907.jsf
--->: This would be my recommended system.
--->: One of our best sellers with fantastic night vision and coloured day time images.
--->: High resolution for police quality imaging.
--->: Ability to add 2 more cameras in the system for future.
--->: Facilitates remote viewing from any where in the world upon connecting the DVR to the Internet router.
-->: ok do you price yourself? if so can you price for supply only and also installion
--->: Sure. Supply only price is listed on the above URL £534.49.

--->: This is for 2 cameras. Are you looking for supply only or supply and fit? And I can see if I can do anything on the price for you.
-->: it depends on how easy it would be to fit? can you price for both,i take it i dont need to purchase anything else for the system to work,how long does the system record for?
--->: It is a plug and play system. Obviously with our installation we do the job professionally with cables, settings and what have you. Yes you wouldn't require to purchase any thing else to make this work. The system would record for 2 weeks on 2 cameras recording continuously.

Complete CCTV wireless Camera Kit

-->: Hi Kevin
-->: I need a 6 wireless Camera complete kit pls
--->: No problem. What is the system for?
-->: a wireless kit that does not interfere with Wifi router - can you help me with this pls
-->: It is going to be installed in a private college for outdoor and indoor use
--->: Sure. Wireless is rather expensive but we supply you powerful encrypted wireless transmitters.
--->: indoor/outdoor cameras?
-->: would it not interfere with wifi Internet ?
-->: Need 4 outdoors and 2 indoor cameras
--->: no as it would be 5.8 GHz. I would personally recommend going wired though as it would be much more cost-effective.
-->: it is the installation bit that is expensive on wired ones
--->: Sure but it would be much more robust. How far would be the furthest camera from the recorder? And how many walls in between?
-->: 40-50 meters is the maximum
-->: and thats an exaggerated guess. the actual distance would surely be less than that
--->: How many walls in between.
-->: maximum of 2
-->: mostly just 1 wall
--->: Right OK. Would you be installing the system yourself?
-->: i have someone who will install it for me but he's not a professional CCTV installer hence im going for wireless option which is easier to install
-->: do you offer installation service too ?
--->: Yes we can offer installation services as well.
--->: Let me prepare a quote for you based on your requirements.
-->: well, in that case what will be most cost effective option to go for: I need 6 colour cameras (4 outdoors and 2 indoors) with night vision, builtin DVR and including software
--->: OK if you would be considering installation from us then wired would be my advice. Can I please take your name, email address and a contact number please.
--->: Whereabouts is the premises?
-->: Lewisham Area
--->: Also indorr cameras needed with night vision or without night vision?
-->: i would prefer night vision pls
--->: OK Mehdi just bear with me while I prepare this for you.
-->: Can you give me 3 different options with details and prices that includes installation please
-->: you can send me an email
--->: Sure.
-->: with the details and prices with your name and contact numbers
-->: I prefer talking to and placing order with 1 person who i speak to
-->: i will wait for the email than
--->: No problem. My name is Kevin Smith and I am the sales manager here. I will send you the quote shortly.

-->: lol
--->: :-) no problem. 3 cameras for a semi should do it nicely
-->: cool
-->: so what do I need to set up a good system?
-->: I would like audio if possible
-->: we have audio built in to the camera's at the moment
--->: http://www.ukcctv.co.uk/night-vision-cctv-security-camera-540-tvl-colour-dcn-u10a.aspx

-->: night vision on all of them
-->: but 5 internal and one external
-->: also, can we have cameras that have power running through the cable rather than separate ac power to each camera

--->: Can I take your name, email address and a contact number please.
--->: OK just bear with me Sanj I am going to send you a link
-->: ok
--->: http://www.ukcctv.co.uk/q-Sanj-782
--->: Please click on the link above.,

--->: Yes they do. Everything powered next to the DVR.
-->: and finally i need cameras shaped like the firt one and not the dome one's.....i would like to position them the way i want

-->: and what is the range of the cameras for internal use and how is the set-up of the dvr...via remote control
--->: Yes the DVR can be connected to the Internet for remote viewing. You can attach the system to your normal house TV or if you like we can supply you a monitor as well.

-->: and the monitor you are providing.....is it a standard computer connection type of monitor
-->: why have u got 6 12v power supply adaptors if the power is running through the cable?
--->: I know it says 10 meters but it does up to 20m. I don't think you need to pay any extra. Monitor has an RCA connection unlike standard PC monitors.
-->: ok
-->: but why the power adapors x 6
--->: See all the cables would be coming back to the DVR. Video cable would go in the DVR and the power cable would be attached to these power supplies and go into the mains.
-->: ok, i understand.....
-->: and my final question would these cameras be ok for at least 20m and including nightvsion?
-->: on the dvr, i am presuming i can set it to record all the time rather than motion only

Indoor - Outdoor PTZ CCTV Wired Cameras

-->: I am looking for a cctv system and wanted to know the essencials i need? also can i have wireless cameras feeding back to wired dvr
--->: No problem. However I would strongly advise a wired system as opposed to wireless as wireless causes too many interference and reliability issues.
--->: How many indoor/outdoor cameras are you looking to mount?
-->: what would be the longest cable run to a camera if using powered coax? looking for a 4 camera outdoor system with 2 being PTZ
--->: I would say anything up to 100 meters.
--->: Is the system for a house/business?
-->: its for a farm
--->: And how far would be the furthest camera? PTZ cameras are relatively more expensive.
-->: it would be very near 100m
-->: might not go for ptz but would like option
--->: Alright! Let me prepare a quote for you. So 4 outdoor cameras from which 2 would be PTZs. What would be the cable lengths of PTZs and the static cameras?
-->: work on forty meters i would use professional RG59 powered coax rather than premade leads
-->: cameras able to do IR night vision
--->: Understood. Can I have your name, email address and a contact number please in order to work out a set-up and email over to you.
--->: Are you there?
-->: ya
-->: sorry got dragged away
--->: No problem.
--->: Thanks! Please click on the link below to view your quote.
--->: http://www.ukcctv.co.uk/q-Shane-779
-->: is the cat5 for the ptz
--->: That's right.
-->: thought so
-->: assuming 100m rule aplies
--->: Cables provided are shot gun cables for you to cut and make your own lengths
-->: ok camera connection RJ45?
--->: RS485 for PTZ and RG59 for video.
-->: ok assume connection details supplied with PTZ cameras
--->: Yes everything comes with product manuals. One thing I forgot to add is the connectors. Let me just update that now for you.
-->: ok thank you for your help
-->: one last thing
--->: Just updated if you refresh the screen.
--->: Sure.
-->: if i wanted to view cameras on other tvs is there a way to send signal wireless
--->: From the DVR yes by getting a wireless transmitter/receiver.
--->: Or through a RF modulator with multiple video outputs.
-->: would that work along side the wired connection?
--->: Yes it would.
-->: wireless would be the way due to promblem running cables
-->: ok thank you for your help you have been most helpful
--->: PTZ signals can only be sent via wired cables to the DVR. From the DVR signals can be sent wirelessly for viewing on to a TV.
--->: My pleasure. When are you looking to order this?
-->: ok meant from DVR to tv
-->: will be looking next week once iv spoken to my customer im quoting for. This is first CCTV system will be doing so hoping going to take off
--->: No problem.

Wireless Camera Systems

->>> Hi, I live down a private lane (approx 1 mile ) and with the other residents we are trying to secure the area-
->>> do you have a wireless system that would be useful to put on the lane away from the houses?
->>> what is the distnace it would work?
->>> sorry- distance!
->> Sure. How big is the drive and how many cameras are you looking at?
->>> well, i will have to discuss prices with other residents - I have no idea how much this would cost! Maybe 2 cameras linked so we could see what has been going on at maybe one location?
->>> it would have to be approx 1/4 mile from house - not sure if that would work wirelessly?
->> Yes it can with high powered transmitter and receivers.
->> Are you looking for supply only or supply and fit?
->>> ok- how would it work? I was thinking maybe a camera that would detect any movement and either a) sound some kind of low alarm at the house with monitor or b)record any movement for playback
->>> not sure how these security things work! never had any before you see!
->>> probably supply and fit
->> Basically you would install a camera which would be attached to a wireless transmitter that would transmit the signal all the way back to the receiver plugged into a digital video recorder which is plugged into a monitor to give you images.
->> You would still need to get power to the camera via mains. Recorder has motion detection and makes the cameras trigger by movement.
->>> ok. are there any that would alert us to any movement?
->> Yes you can set alerts as well
->>> ok. so we would need electric to the camera. That may be a problem as it would be so far away from the closest house-
->> The only alternative is a car battery which would last you around 2 days and then has to be recharged.
->>> will have to check with them if they have any electric in their rear garden as that would be closest to the camera. So how much would that be to set up?
->>> ok- that may be an option.
->> You are looking at around £750 - £850 exc
->> That is the price of the products.
->>> what will that include?
->> A complete 2 wireless camera system with a DVR.
->>> and would hat work with any monitor?
->> Yes indeed.
->>> ok - that sounds possible as there are 8 houses - what is the maximum distance the cameras and DVR can be?
->>> and what length of time will it record for - or will it just record when there is movement?
->> I would say 400m line of sight. It can record continuously as well as on motion detection.
->>> what do you mean by line of sight?
->> Without any obstacles in between basically.
->>> between the camera and dvd/monitor?
->> yes
->>> ah right- that may be a problem as the lane bends and there are lots of trees
->>> if it is wired would it be the same?
->> OK in that case you might have to install directional antennas at both ends to boost the signals. But I would suggest installing the cameras first as you might just be OK. It is quite a powerful piece of kit.
->>> ok- I will have a chat with the other residents and will get back to you. Thanks for all your help :-)
->> No problem. You're welcome.

Cheap 4 Camera CCTV System for Home

->>> hi kevin my name is andy. i am looking for a cctv system for my home to include both wired & wirless. i am thinking that PIR activation would be better. I have wirless home pc network and also external hard drive if that can be used? can you assist?
->> Certainly. How many indoor/outdoor cameras are you looking at?
->>> on the house i think 2 @ the front and 1 @ the rear & 1 on the detached garage? i would also like to view the cameras remotely?
->> No problem. All the cameras can be triggered by movement via the motion detection facility in the DVR. The DVR can also be attached to the Internet router from where images can be broadcasted live and accessed remotely from any where in the world.
->> Are you looking for supply only or supply and fit?
->>> a price on fitted & supply only would be good. I suppose the price is dependale on the quality of camera/lense. what would you recomend?
->> Sure. We have variety of systems. Are you looking for something on the high quality side or something that is sufficient to do the job?
->>> not sure how to answer that one. what is the difference in quality of image?
->> We have standard, advance and advance pro systems. For house we recommend advance (mid-range) if you are looking for high quality images and standard would be the budget system.
->>> could you quote me for advance then please
->> Certainly. Just the last question, how far would you need to see from the cameras especially in the dark?
->>> i am thinking of 1 mounted on the front of the house so a good 20-30 metres. the garage mounted (wireless) 1 should cover 10-15 metres (please note the garage is a double width garage so a wides angle lense would be beneficial). one mounted at the front door would only need to be close proximity capability. Finally the one at the rear of the house should be 20 metres (wide angled).
->> OK no problem. However, I would recommend going wired with all the cameras as they are much more robust and reliable. Wireless have interference issues here and there.
->> If still wanted wireless then we will have to supply you with a 5.8GHz wireless transmitter that is rather expensive.
->>> Ok lets look @ wired. the distance between house & garage is approx 10ft so would not be a major job
->> That should be fine. Can I take your name, email address and a contact number please and I shall have your quote emailed in 5 mins.
->> Thanks Andy. Just bear with me please while I email it to you.
->> Did you receive the quote?
->>> just looking at it now
->> Sure.
->>> kevin. is there any way i can see the qulity of the images that these cameras will record?
->> These cameras have 480 TVL (TV lines) which is classed as high resolution. Basically higher the TVL better the clarity gets. Standard has 420 TVL and Advance pro has 500 + TVL.
->> We don't have any images to show but the kind of guarantee that we give is, if you don't like what is installed we can take it all back.
->>> do these cameras also come in a dome version? and how would i view the images remotely?. what was your supply only price?
->> We can supply you the dome version as well if you prefer but the night vision quality on these ones are better. Supply only price would be £905.26
->>> ok. just a little concerned that the garage mounted camera would be easily spotted and easily damaged/stolen. i would also prefer minimal surface mounted cable (especially inside the house) so how would you propose to do that? i.e: if the D-A4B is located in the loft what else would you need for the system to work and be accessable remotely?
->> No problem. We can replace that camera with a less obtrusive camera. Wiring can all be done through the loft and connected to your Internet router so that you can just type in a URL and access the DVR.
->>> ok - the router is located in a downstairs office. it is a wireless router. would you need to run cable to that?
->> Yes that's right.
->>> sorry to be a pest kevin. all questions i'm afraid! would this system record from PIR activation? if so how quick does recording start after activation? could i change it to constant record looping after two weeks? can i view all for cameras at the same time & would all four cameras record at the same time?
->> No problem Andy. I am here to help. You can view all the cameras at the same time yes whilst being recorded. DVR has built in motion detection so it makes all the cameras trigger by movement. Yes the recordings can be set on either constant recording or via motion detection. Images can be downloaded on to a memory stick as well as on a DVD via the built in DVD-writer.
->>> so if someone walks past the camera is it likely that we will see him/her on the camera that is triggered or by one of the other cameras?
->> Yes the DVR starts recording instantaneously upon motion detection.
->> You can also change sensitivity levels available on the DVR.
->>> ok kevin thanks very much for your support. i will let you know in the next 24/48 hours as i have a couple of people coming back to me with quotes. if i do get any cheaper prices do you want me to come back to you?
->>> Again many thanks for your time u have been most helpful
->> Sure, no problem. Looking forward to hear from you soon.

sanj: i am looking for a 6 external cameras good one and a dvr box......package deal if possible?
sanj: how much am i looking for, in terms of price?
->> Sure just bear with me please.
sanj: ok
->> Thank you for waiting.
sanj: no probs
->> How much would be the cable lengths per camera?
sanj: do we have a price and pakage
sanj: some may be 20m x 4 cameras and 2 x 30-40m
->> I will build it up for you now as we have 4 and 8 camera systems on the web site
sanj: i need night vision on the 5 cameras and one will need to be external with cage
sanj: but i am looking for good camers
->> no night vision on the 6th?
sanj: night vision on all of them
sanj: but 5 internal and one external
sanj: also, can we have cameras that have power running through the cable rather than separate ac power to each camera
->> OK as you said 6 external before
->> Yes of course.
sanj: but not bothered, as long as they are good
->> Can I take your name, email address and a contact number please.
sanj: sanj
->> OK just bear with me Sanj I am going to send you a link
sanj: ok
->> http://www.ukcctv.co.uk/q-Sanj-782
->> Please click on the link above.,
sanj: Kevin, thanks for the quote.
->> Does it make sense?
sanj: Kev, i dont think 15 m will be enough for the cameras
sanj: also, do the cabling have power to the cameras?
->> Alright we will supply you with 20m for no extra cost.
->> Yes they do. Everything powered next to the DVR.
sanj: and finally i need cameras shaped like the firt one and not the dome one's.....i would like to position them the way i want
->> Alright. Want me to change all of them to the first one?
sanj: Sorry about this kev, but can i also have details about the dvr box.....can i get view via broadband and view cameras from home? do i get a monitor to view this all
sanj: and what is the range of the cameras for internal use and how is the set-up of the dvr...via remote control
->> Yes the DVR can be connected to the Internet for remote viewing. You can attach the system to your normal house TV or if you like we can supply you a monitor as well.
sanj: i would like a price for monitor...what size do you recommend for 6 cameras/......
->> Internal cameras are without night vision and will cover everything on a wide angle lens. Yes via remote control.
sanj: for the other 5 cameras.....i want the same design for positioning but i dont want to pay that camera price for the others
->> No problem. Let me work that out for you now.
sanj: i want the cameras for my warehouse and they are going on the wall not ceiling
sanj: can please confirm that the power to the cameras is through the one cable CAB-BNC and that I DO NOT NEED extra ac powers for these cameras
->> Please refresh the link and you will see the changes.
->> Yes these are combo cables which carry video as well as power.
sanj: great thanks
->> I believe that is everything you would require.
sanj: kevin seen the quote so many thanks for that. Price is fine and i have no problems there. but two questions.
->> Sure!
sanj: 1. these cameras 10m night vision..... my warehouse is massive and i would like 20m please rather than 10m...and are the quality of these cameras good?
sanj: and the monitor you are providing.....is it a standard computer connection type of monitor
sanj: why have u got 6 12v power supply adaptors if the power is running through the cable?
->> I know it says 10 meters but it does up to 20m. I don't think you need to pay any extra. Monitor has an RCA connection unlike standard PC monitors.
sanj: ok
sanj: but why the power adapors x 6
->> See all the cables would be coming back to the DVR. Video cable would go in the DVR and the power cable would be attached to these power supplies and go into the mains.
sanj: ok, i understand.....
sanj: and my final question would these cameras be ok for at least 20m and including nightvsion?
sanj: on the dvr, i am presuming i can set it to record all the time rather than motion only
->> Absolutely! Without a shadow of a doubt.
->> Yes you can set DVR to record either way.
sanj: brilliant....thank you for your all your help
sanj: i can use this quote and just have some time to think it over?
sanj: i can use this link for my quote
->> Sure Sanj. Give me a call or drop me a line when you are ready to go ahead.
->> I will also get this emailed over to you now.
->> When would you be looking to place an order?
sanj: This week, i have the builders working and the fllor boards are all up so they can lay the cableling
->> No problem. As we have everything in stock do you want me to reserve the goods so that we are not out of stock for you on these products?
sanj: would you deliver for free?
->> Yes I have already given you free delivery if you see the total.
sanj: ok, just was not sure if that would be extra if i placed the order
sanj: great stuff......happy for you to reserve and i will confirm the order with you wedneday
sanj: if i go ahead. Enjoy your day
->> No problem. Look forward to hear from you Wednesday.
->> Have a nice day.

CCTV Camera Systems For Farmers

->> Hi, I am one of the Product Specialists here at UKCCTV. How can I assist you today?
->>> I am looking for a cctv system and wanted to know the essencials i need? also can i have wireless cameras feeding back to wired dvr
->> No problem. However I would strongly advise a wired system as opposed to wireless as wireless causes too many interference and reliability issues.
->> How many indoor/outdoor cameras are you looking to mount?
->>> what would be the longest cable run to a camera if using powered coax? looking for a 4 camera outdoor system with 2 being PTZ
->> I would say anything up to 100 meters.
->> Is the system for a house/business?
->>> its for a farm
->> And how far would be the furthest camera? PTZ cameras are relatively more expensive.
->>> it would be very near 100m
->>> might not go for ptz but would like option
->> Alright! Let me prepare a quote for you. So 4 outdoor cameras from which 2 would be PTZs. What would be the cable lengths of PTZs and the static cameras?
->>> work on forty meters i would use professional RG59 powered coax rather than premade leads
->>> cameras able to do IR night vision
->> Understood. Can I have your name, email address and a contact number please in order to work out a set-up and email over to you.
->> Are you there?
->>> ya
->>> sorry got dragged away
->> No problem.
->> Thanks! Please click on the link below to view your quote.
->> http://www.ukcctv.co.uk/q-Shane-779
->>> is the cat5 for the ptz
->> That's right.
->>> thought so
->>> assuming 100m rule aplies
->> Cables provided are shot gun cables for you to cut and make your own lengths
->>> ok camera connection RJ45?
->> RS485 for PTZ and RG59 for video.
->>> ok assume connection details supplied with PTZ cameras
->> Yes everything comes with product manuals. One thing I forgot to add is the connectors. Let me just update that now for you.
->>> ok thank you for your help
->>> one last thing
->> Just updated if you refresh the screen.
->> Sure.
->>> if i wanted to view cameras on other tvs is there a way to send signal wireless
->> From the DVR yes by getting a wireless transmitter/receiver.
->> Or through a RF modulator with multiple video outputs.
->>> would that work along side the wired connection?
->> Yes it would.
->>> wireless would be the way due to promblem running cables
->>> ok thank you for your help you have been most helpful
->> PTZ signals can only be sent via wired cables to the DVR. From the DVR signals can be sent wirelessly for viewing on to a TV.
->> My pleasure. When are you looking to order this?
->>> ok meant from DVR to tv
->>> will be looking next week once iv spoken to my customer im quoting for. This is first CCTV system will be doing so hoping going to take off
->> No problem.
->>> thank you bye for now

Basic CCTV camera system - motion detection

-->: ive got a question about the NVC-S25B
-->: Sure.
-->: can this record?
-->: With all cameras if you need to record, you need to get a DVR (Digital Video Recorder).
-->: What are your requirements there?
-->: But some can take SD cards
-->: I want one to monitor and record for my shop
-->: Yes but all the cameras listed on the Web Site needs a DVR to record. We can do SD cards cameras on special request as the conventional cameras are more cost effective.
-->: I just need a basic one thats good enough to record for up to a week and can also playback
-->: which one would be best u think?
-->: How far do you need to see especially in the dark?
-->: no more then 15m
-->: NVC-S25B is a good choice along with this recorder.
-->: http://www.ukcctv.co.uk/4-camera-basic-dvr-with-usb-backup-and-motion-detection.aspx
-->: ill take a look..
-->: ok so, this recorder can record up to a week?
-->: Is the camera wireless?
-->: Yes it can record up to a week on 160GB HDD. No the camera is wired.
-->: http://www.ukcctv.co.uk/pre-made-combo-power-cable-cab-bnc.aspx
-->: You can choose any cable length from here.
-->: Along with this power supply.
-->: http://www.ukcctv.co.uk/12v-dc-1000ma-uk-power-supply-p-1000.aspx
-->: Could you help me look for a wireless one
-->: Wireless IP cameras are relatively very expensive for just a 1 camera set-up.
-->: ohh ok
-->: Normal WiFi cameras over run over frequency cause too many interference issues.
-->: okay
-->: so for the recorder i need a tape
-->: This I believe would be the cheapest set-up yet giving you good enough quality for police evidence.
-->: No it has a built in hard drive of 160 GB like you have in a PC.
-->: ohh thats cool
-->: okay i think that would be best
-->: Also any data can be backed up on to a USB drive as it has a USB port.
-->: that sounds really good
-->: On top of that the DVR records upon motion sensors so it lasts your hard drive for days n days running before over-writing it.
-->: And you can add up to 3 more cameras to the system in the future.
-->: does the camera come with a power cable?
-->: or do i have to get that seperate? the link you've given me
-->: The cable link I have given you is a cable that carries both video and power,
-->: so its the power lead for the dvr
-->: No its the video and power cable attached together. One end of the cables go at the back of the camera. From the other end, video cable goes into the DVR and power cable attaches to the power supply and goes in to the mains.

Wireless CCTV Camera Vs. Wired CCTV Camera

-->: What I need is a wireless system that can be quickly and effortlessly temporally installed in shops and demo seminars to help show shop owners there weak spots of there current cctv system do you have anything similar to this?
--->: We don't recommend wireless systems from experience as they cause too many interferal and reliability issues.
--->: We offer standard, advance and advance pro wired systems.
-->: Yes I know they can be intermittent ECT but it is purely for demonstrational purposes
-->: then a hardwired system will be installed should they accept a quote
--->: For demonstrations what we tend to do is linking a camera to a small monitor like a 7 inch which is easy for portability.
--->: We also have things like a portable DVR.
-->: wireless or just hardwired?
--->: http://www.ukcctv.co.uk/Portable-DVR-MPEG-4.aspx
--->: Hard wired or you can use rechargeable battery packs.
-->: do you supply the battery packs?
--->: Yes we can.
-->: can you send me a link please i cant seem to find them
--->: We don't have them displayed on the Web Site as its a specialised item. But we can provide it to you for 19.95 exc. It would last around 1-2 hours on batteries.
-->: ok, would that be running just the camera or the mara and the transmitter
--->: There is no transmitter. Basically you just cable the camera to a small monitor and the camera is powered via batteries.
-->: we relly need it to be wireless
