Basic CCTV camera system - motion detection

-->: ive got a question about the NVC-S25B
-->: Sure.
-->: can this record?
-->: With all cameras if you need to record, you need to get a DVR (Digital Video Recorder).
-->: What are your requirements there?
-->: But some can take SD cards
-->: I want one to monitor and record for my shop
-->: Yes but all the cameras listed on the Web Site needs a DVR to record. We can do SD cards cameras on special request as the conventional cameras are more cost effective.
-->: I just need a basic one thats good enough to record for up to a week and can also playback
-->: which one would be best u think?
-->: How far do you need to see especially in the dark?
-->: no more then 15m
-->: NVC-S25B is a good choice along with this recorder.
-->: http://www.ukcctv.co.uk/4-camera-basic-dvr-with-usb-backup-and-motion-detection.aspx
-->: ill take a look..
-->: ok so, this recorder can record up to a week?
-->: Is the camera wireless?
-->: Yes it can record up to a week on 160GB HDD. No the camera is wired.
-->: http://www.ukcctv.co.uk/pre-made-combo-power-cable-cab-bnc.aspx
-->: You can choose any cable length from here.
-->: Along with this power supply.
-->: http://www.ukcctv.co.uk/12v-dc-1000ma-uk-power-supply-p-1000.aspx
-->: Could you help me look for a wireless one
-->: Wireless IP cameras are relatively very expensive for just a 1 camera set-up.
-->: ohh ok
-->: Normal WiFi cameras over run over frequency cause too many interference issues.
-->: okay
-->: so for the recorder i need a tape
-->: This I believe would be the cheapest set-up yet giving you good enough quality for police evidence.
-->: No it has a built in hard drive of 160 GB like you have in a PC.
-->: ohh thats cool
-->: okay i think that would be best
-->: Also any data can be backed up on to a USB drive as it has a USB port.
-->: that sounds really good
-->: On top of that the DVR records upon motion sensors so it lasts your hard drive for days n days running before over-writing it.
-->: And you can add up to 3 more cameras to the system in the future.
-->: does the camera come with a power cable?
-->: or do i have to get that seperate? the link you've given me
-->: The cable link I have given you is a cable that carries both video and power,
-->: so its the power lead for the dvr
-->: No its the video and power cable attached together. One end of the cables go at the back of the camera. From the other end, video cable goes into the DVR and power cable attaches to the power supply and goes in to the mains.
-->: lol alright i got abit confused there but i got it now. thanks
-->: how long does delivery take?
-->: It would be better if you call me on 0208 035 8671 when placing the order so I can double check :-)
-->: next day provided in stock.
-->: ok ill take your number down now. is this the direct number to u?
-->: Yes that is my direct line.
-->: ok kevin thanks!
-->: you're welcome.
-->: ill call you later today
-->: No problem. Look forward to your call.
-->: bye =)
